1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Duet — A Private Space for Two. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and NextGen TechEdge Solutions Private Limited ("NextGen TechEdge", "we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Duet mobile application ("App") and related web services.

By downloading, installing, or using Duet, you signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue using the App.

2. Purpose & Permitted Use

Duet is designed exclusively as an intimate, private communication and memory-sharing environment for two individuals. You agree to use Duet solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes in harmony with these Terms.

3. User Accounts & Device Pairing

Unlike standard social networks, Duet does not use public profiles. Instead, spaces are created via a peer-to-peer cryptographic pairing process using 6-digit invitation codes. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and the pairing code generated by your app. NextGen TechEdge cannot recover spaces if both partners lose access to their devices and personal cloud backups.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership

• Your Content Remains Yours: You and your partner retain 100% ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights in all photos, drawings, notes, voice memos, and text messages created or uploaded through Duet. NextGen TechEdge claims zero intellectual property rights over your personal memories.
• Our Intellectual Property: All visual design interfaces, illustrations, brand assets, logos, software algorithms, animations, and source code associated with Duet are the exclusive property of NextGen TechEdge Solutions Private Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

5. Personal Cloud & Third-Party Services Disclaimer

Duet allows users to integrate their personal cloud accounts (such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive) for automated backup and media storage:

• You acknowledge that your relationship with third-party cloud storage providers is governed solely by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
• NextGen TechEdge is not responsible for cloud storage quotas, provider rate limits, file synchronization delays, service outages, or data loss attributable to third-party cloud infrastructure.

6. Prohibited Conduct

While using Duet, you agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of the App.
• Attempt to intercept, probe, or bypass cryptographic encryption mechanisms or authentication tokens.
• Use the App to distribute illegal, non-consensual intimate imagery, malware, or unlawful materials.
• Engage in harassment, intimidation, or stalking behaviors against any individual.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

DUET IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, BUG-FREE, OR ERROR-FREE AT ALL TIMES.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL NEXTGEN TECHEDGE SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE MALFUNCTION, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF DUET.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in New Delhi, India.
